Job Skills Network, regional recruitment partners, are thrilled to announce a new region-focused job board website, Jobs in Arnhem Land, has officially launched, providing a dedicated online space to help people connect with employment opportunities in one of Australia’s most unique and culturally rich regions.
Accessible now at jobsinarnhemland.au, the website is designed specifically for jobseekers living in, moving to or interested in working in Arnhem Land, with a strong focus on supporting First Nations communities and local workforce participation.
This first phase of the launch is focused entirely on candidates, giving individuals access to a growing list of job opportunities, regional resources, and employment advice to help them take the next step in their career journey.
“Jobs in Arnhem Land is about creating visibility and access,” said Tim O’Brien, Founder and Director at Job Skills Network. “We want to empower people with tools and information that help them find meaningful, local employment while honouring the deep cultural identity of the region.”
Jobs in Arnhem Land has been shaped with the voices of community. Local leaders and board members have shared their hopes for how this platform can support young people, families, and future generations to find meaningful work on Country.
John Dalywater, Mimal Board Chair (Central Clans – Bininj Buldjdjan), said: “If there is a job available where do we look?’ is a key thing asked by people in our community. This Jobs in Arnhem Land website will be a very useful tool to show what opportunities are available, and to connect with the team for support.”
Anita Painter, Mimal Deputy Chair said: “Jobs Skills Network have been finding Mimal Land Management some really good staff, and we need the right people in management positions to help the board run Mimal. “
Alfred Rickson, Mimal Board Member (Eastern Clans – Bininj Koiyek), said: “The Jobs in Arnhem Land website will be helpful for our community members who have moved away, to see opportunities which exist on our Country. It will provide a way for our people to return home and have meaningful work on Country.”
Arnhem Land is home to some of the most remote, vibrant, and community-driven places in the country. The platform recognises the important role of First Nations people in shaping the region’s future and aims to support economic participation through better access to jobs and career pathways.
